The two warm up exercises require:

  • Eighth sheet NOT/cold pressed watercolour paper (approx A4) minimum 140lb/325gsm

  • Colours of your choice - use this as an excuse to clean up a palette or play with an interesting colour combination.

  • Medium round brush (approx size 8)

  • Salt, cling film/saran wrap, sponge, watercolour pencils, sand paper


The equine portrait requires:

  • Half sheet NOT/cold pressed watercolour paper (approx 50x40cm) minimum 140lb/325gsm

  • Colours of your choice - I use quinacridone gold, burnt Sienna, transparent grey/neutral tint, perylene violet, caput mortum, opera rose

  • Large and Medium round brush (approx size 16 and 8), rigger size 2, small flat brush for lifting

  • spray bottle, two water pots

  • Salt, cling film/saran wrap, sponge, watercolour pencils (orange, yellow, pink, black), sand paper, magic eraser (all optional)
